| 2002: Walk-on who played in every game • Became the Tar Heels’ starting kick returner by the third week of the season • Returned 29 kickoffs for 624 yards • Finished fifth in the ACC with a kickoff return average of 21.5 yards • Had a season-long return of 52 yards in the season finale at Duke • Returned the first kickoff of his career for 14 yards vs. Texas • Had two returns for 59 yards vs. Georgia Tech • Returned six kicks for 98 yards at Virginia • Returned three kicks for 85 yards, including a 39-yarder vs. NC State • Had his most productive day vs. Clemson with five returns for 136 yards, including a 46-yard to the Tiger’s 30-yard line • That return set up a Carolina touchdown five plays later • Also made one tackle on special teams.
