| Virginia Independent Schools Player of the Year, Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball in Virginia • Attended Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va., and was coached by Joseph Wootten • First-team all-metro by the Washington Post and first-team All-Northern Virginia • Four-year starter, team went 116-19 • Career statistics include 1,615 points (14.2 per game), 520 rebounds (4.6 per game), 298 steals and 289 assists • Finished 31-3 as a senior winning the Virginia Independent Schools Division I state championship and the Catholic Invitational • As a senior he averaged 20.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.7 assists • Shot 56 percent from the floor (34 percent from three-point range) • Scored a season-high 31 points on two occasions • MVP of Alhambra Invitational • Virginia Independent Schools Division I state championship in 2002, 2003 and 2005 • As a junior he averaged 13.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.6 assists • Named MVP of the 2004 GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational in Raleigh • Had 27 points and nine rebounds in leading Bishop O'Connell to win in finals • National Honor Society member and National Merit Scholar |
