According to sources close to the situation, sophomore kicker Jay Wooten will transfer out of North Carolina. After red-shirting in 2007, Wooten handled kickoffs last season, averaging 60.8 yards on 54 kickoffs. He also split time with freshman Casey Barth on field goal duties.
