What does this mean to you?
"It's a great feeling. I'm just happy, not only for myself, but for the '93 team, because I couldn't have done anything without my teammates. I wish they could be here so that I could thank them. I needed someone to pass me the ball and I needed someone to set screens for me, so without my teammates, I couldn't have accomplished any of this."

How would you define your legacy at UNC?
"I really didn't play for individual awards or things like that. That '93 banner is up there, so I felt my jersey was up there, because every time I come here I look at that '93 banner, so I knew that was part of me. I think with my jersey going up there, it's more for my family, my friends and my community. Being from Garner, I'm local, so it's really special for me."

Does having family around make this more of a special moment for you?
"Yes, it does. I think everybody in the Raleigh area and the Garner area is tuned in and supporting me tonight, so I'm happy for everybody and I think this is for everybody."

Do you ever sneak away to watch footage of the '93 Final Four?
"I have it at home -- you know I've got to have that. At March Madness, they always show it, so it always come around."

When you came here, what did you envision?
"I dreamed of a national championship. I didn't think I was going to be the most valuable player of it. But I came to the University of North Carolina to win a national championship. I think the recruiting class before me was a great class, so I just thought I could be that missing piece to the puzzle." Recommended Stories
