Boston Switches to Tar Heels

According to his mother, Tre Boston verbally committed to North Carolina Friday afternoon.

"He decided to go public [with the commitment] today," she said.

Boston, 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback from North Fort Myers (Fla.), verbally committed to Cincinnati in early July. But when head coach Brian Kelly left for Notre Dame, he began looking into other schools.

After an official trip to Cincinnati earlier in the month, Boston reaffirmed his commitment to the Bearcats but still went on to officially visit UNC. After returning from Chapel Hill, he told InsideCarolina.com that his recruitment was "pretty much up in the air."
