CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- North Carolina deep snapper Trevor Stuart will miss the rest of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee in the first half of North Carolina's 31-17 win over East Carolina.

A junior from Sugar Land, Texas, Stuart took became the deep snapper during the middle of the 2008 season.

Mark House, a walk-on from Wilmington, N.C, came in for Stuart in the ECU game. House was Carolina's deep snapper for six games in 2008 before fracturing his finger.
