Adams to Have Surgery

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- According to sources, freshman Joshua Adams sustained a meniscus tear in his knee. He will have his knee scoped next week, according to a UNC official.

After surgery, his knee will be examined to determine the length of his absence.

Adams, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound wide receiver, enrolled at UNC this past January and drew rave reviews from coaches and teammates during spring practice.

He is expected to compete for a spot on the two-deep this fall.
