The show will air multiple days each week in concise, hard-hitting segments that will cover a wide range of current topics, from game previews and postgame analysis, to recruiting, to any other prevalent UNC sports news. The show will also serve as a forum for Inside Carolina's vast stable of writers, insiders and analysts.
"Inside Carolina is committed to bringing its readers the best UNC sports content on the web and in its magazine," says Inside Carolina president Buck Sanders. "The radio show is a part of that ongoing effort, and we look forward to providing this new content, which will give our readers another way to follow University of North Carolina sports on Inside Carolina. "
Inside Carolina assistant editor Tommy Ashley will serve as co-host. Ashley has been on staff at Inside Carolina since 1998 with online and print duties.
"This radio show will give our readers a chance to hear from all the writers and reporters that make Inside Carolina a great place to get their Carolina 'fix' on the Internet," Ashley says. "I look forward to making the time folks spend listening worth their while and hope they enjoy the commentary from Inside Carolina's staff and other guests as we move forward with this project."
Ashley will be joined in the studio by Dave Nathan of Buster Sports, who will also produce the show. Buster Sports, a Raleigh-based company that shares Inside Carolina's vision for online radio programming, will initially house the show on its website. Portability technology, which includes the ability to download the show in podcast form, is under development and will be available later this year.
