SOUTHPORT, N.C. --- South Brunswick High is coming off the best football season in school history. Head coach Gordon Walters credits running back Kenneth White's play for much of the success.

"[Last season's success is] something you can hold your head up high about and say ‘That's my team, that's what we did,'" White said. "So I'm pretty proud of it." For the first time in school history, South Brunswick reached the third round of the NCHSAA 2A Playoffs. The Cougars ended the campaign with a school best 10-3 win-lose record.
