It's hard to fathom that another player in the state had more of an impact on his team in all three aspects of the game than Terry Shankle did for Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly.

"He had his usual year," South Stanly head coach Luke Little said. "He had almost 1,300 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns. And on defense, nobody ever threw his way, ran his way – did anything his way. The corner on the other side ended up with nine interceptions. He also was a threat in the return game."
