Wayne Ellington is expecting one tough week of practice at North Carolina this week. He knows, along with everyone else in the program, that repair work is needed after the Tar Heels were all but dominated by Boston College on Sunday night. Boston College won 85-78 in the Smith Center, handing UNC its first loss of the season in 14 games. "We're going to be fighting," Ellington said. "We're going to come out and bounce back. It hurts. We're going to get that feeling to go away. And in order to get it to go away, we've got to come out and give it our all."

North Carolina senior Marcus Ginyard missed the opportunity to guard Boston College playmaker Tyrese Rice on Sunday, but not as much as his team missed having its defensive stopper at 100 percent. Although Ginyard played 14 minutes off the bench, his surgically repaired left foot limited his movement and his ability to boost his team's subpar defensive performance. Rice finished with 25 points, eight assists and five rebounds in BC's 85-78 win, snapping UNC's 13-game winning streak and dropping the Tar Heels from No. 1 to No. 3 in the Associated Press poll.

Now that Boston College has provided the ACC and the country with an outline of how to beat North Carolina in a game of basketball, the next question is how many other teams are capable of following it? The answer is not very many, and certainly not in the ACC.

Aside from the result, the most interesting thing about North Carolina's loss to Boston College on Sunday night might have been the lineup the Tar Heels employed for most of the final five minutes when they were trying to play catch-up against the Eagles.
