Standing 6-3 and 185 pounds, Boyd is ranked the No. 7 wide receiver in the nation by Scout.com. He was recently selected to play in the Shrine Bowl -- an all-star game between the top players in North Carolina and South Carolina -- and has also been named to the prestigious Under Armour All-American Game (Jan. 4, ESPN).
Boyd has already caught 49 passes for 796 yards and eight touchdowns this season, despite Ashbrook's quarterback problems. He caught 47 passes for 1,151 yards and 11 touchdowns his junior season.
He has a reported 4.4 40-yard dash and a reported vertical leap of over 40 inches.
His offer list included Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
