Tinsley Suspended

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Junior linebacker Kennedy Tinsley has been suspended for the fall semester, a UNC official confirmed to Inside Carolina on Sunday.

Tinsley is currently not in school and not on the team, but will return in January, the UNC official said.

According to Inside Carolina sources close to the situation, the suspension is a result of an academic infraction.

The junior from Greensboro, N.C., who left the team prior to Saturday's game against Boston College, recorded nine tackles through the first seven games this season as a reserve linebacker and on special teams.
