Sweaty from a workout -- no boot, no cast, no limp -- North Carolina quarterback T.J. Yates on Thursday looked ready to return to his place behind center. He said that's still his plan this season, although he's not sure exactly when.

Chris Crane experienced a major step up in competition last week when the Boston College quarterback faced down the Virginia Tech defense and perhaps the best cornerback in the conference, Victor “Macho” Harris. The result, ultimately, was a good one for the Eagles and Crane, as he made enough big plays to overcome the two interceptions returned for touchdowns - one tipped by Harris and the other taken all the way by the standout defensive back. But as big a win as it was for Crane, he’s still climbing the hump, he’s not over it yet. When the Eagles take on North Carolina tomorrow in Chapel Hill, N.C., they’ll be seeing yet another defense that lives off of turnovers.
