- Byron Best: returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown. In
addition to playing defensive back, Best returned kicks and punts, and saw
action at running back. “It was very important,” Best told the Index Journal
when asked about the team’s lopsided win a year after escaping with a 13-9
victory against the Emerald. “A lot of people doubted us. People don’t really
know what it takes.” --
