Mularkey's father, Mike, is the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, a position he accepted in January. The elder Mularkey worked on the Miami Dolphins coaching staff the past two seasons, where he coached the tight ends (2006) and served as the offensive coordinator (2007).
