LSU's 21-7 victory over UC Irvine on Monday was so dominating that North Carolina coach Mike Fox said he had to turn off the television.

After Friday's opening ceremony at Rosenblatt Stadium, Fox planned to hop a private plane back to Chapel Hill so that he could attend his daughter Morgan's high school graduation at the Smith Center at 9 a.m. He'll take another private plane back to Omaha tonight.

Green’s father said Friday that his son will return to Chapel Hill for his senior season, bolstering UNC’s national championship hopes. Green, who had opted to enter his name into the NBA draft pool back in April, completed his final individual workout of the pre-draft process Friday in San Antonio.

"It's still very much up in the air," Green said by telephone from the San Antonio airport. "I know there are some reports going around that I've made the decision to go back to school for next season, but that's not really the case as things stand right now."
