ACC Tournament Schedule/Results

Third-seeded North Carolina will open defense of its Atlantic Coast Conference title in the 2008 ACC Baseball Championship Wednesday against sixth-seeded Virginia at 8 p.m. at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

The winners of each of the two pools will square off at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 25 in the title game.

While “Division B” consists of the Seminoles, Tar Heels, Cavaliers and Demon Deacons, “Division A” is comprised of No. 1 Miami, No. 4 NC State, No. 5 Georgia Tech and No. 8 Clemson.

All 13 games in this year’s tournament will be televised for the second straight year with Fox Sports Net South and Sports South providing live coverage. The league tournament will also be broadcast on four other networks, which includes FSN Florida, SUN Sports, Comcast Sports Mid-Atlantic and the New England Sports Network (NESN). Check your local listing for more details.

In addition, ISP Sports will be the national radio carrier of this year’s league tournament. All 13 contests will air on XM Radio and ISP’s national network of affiliates. Live stats will also be available at the www.TheACC.com.
