Report: Lawson Entering Draft

North Carolina sophomore Ty Lawson will enter the NBA Draft and not sign with an agent, giving him another two months make a final decision, FoxSports.com is reporting.

National draft analysts currently project Lawson as a low first round pick. He is ranked by ESPN as the No. 28 overall prospect.

Lawson, who missed seven games in 2007-08 due to an ankle injury, averaged 12.7 points and 5.2 assists on the season.

UNC has yet to announce the status of Lawson or the other Tar Heels considering entering the NBA Draft.

The deadline to declare for the draft is Sunday. Players who enter without an agent have until June 16 to withdraw. The draft is June 26 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
