JuCo DT Commits to UNC

The Tar Heels didn't have a defensive tackle on their 2008 Signing Day roster announced on Wednesday, but it appears they will be adding one after all. Joseph Townsend has committed to UNC and signed the Letter of Intent, which is expected to be finalized in the coming days.

"I just signed my Letter of Intent," Townsend told Inside Carolina on Saturday evening. "I sent it in to them about 20 minutes ago." Townsend, a 6-3, 285-pound defensive tackle, attended high school at San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian and played one season (2006) at Los Altos Hills (Calif.) Foothill C.C.
