The Carolina Basketball Museum is located on the first floor of the Ernie
Williamson Athletics Center. The Williamson Center is adjacent to the Smith
Center and Koury Natatorium on Skipper Bowles Drive.
Parking is available in the Smith Lot located across Bowles Drive from the
Smith Center.
The museum features artifacts, videos, photos, statistical and historical
panels that highlight the history of the Carolina Basketball program. The
museum experience begins with a six-minute theater presentation and includes
video tributes to Dean Smith, Roy Williams and the Carolina Family, Phil
Ford, Michael Jordan and the history of UNC Basketball.
It also includes interactive presentations highlighting Carolina's 16 Final
Four appearances and 16 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championships,
and many of the greatest games and most exciting finishes in Tar Heel
history.
The museum will be open on game days.
For the Boston College (Thursday, Jan. 31), Duke (Wednesday, Feb. 6) and
Florida State (Tuesday, March 4) games, the museum will open at its normal
time (10 a.m.) and remain open until one hour prior to the start of the
game.
For the Clemson (Sunday, Feb. 10), Virginia Tech (Saturday, Feb. 16) and
Wake Forest (Sunday, Feb. 24) games, the museum will open three and one half
hours before the start of the game and close one hour before tip.
