Yates ACC Rookie of the Week Again

North Carolina freshman quarterback T.J. Yates was today selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, collecting the honor for the second time this season.

In Saturday's 22-20 loss to Virginia, Yates completed 25 of 38 passes for 339 yards and three touchdowns, giving him nine for the season.

With his performance on Saturday, Yates set a new North Carolina record for passing and for total offense against the Cavaliers. His 339 passing yards were the ninth-most in school history.
