On practice -

There were definitely better signs of urgency [Thursday] in practice. Coach [Roy] Williams wasn't screaming at us yesterday. We just all looked at each other after and said, ‘that was a good one.' We needed to get beat up a little bit and get our mind right to get ready for Boston College.

It's sad that's what needed to happen, but that's just the reality of it. We needed that. I'm glad the coaches pushed us, and I'm glad we got better yesterday.

On Bobby Frasor being fully recovered-

I really don't think he's that far. I think coaches are letting him ease himself back into that groove. I know he's eager to get back out there, but the best thing about Bobby right now is his presence in practice – the way he's pushing Tywon [Lawson] to go harder.

On getting back to playing good defense -

It something that we need to take pride in and not make excuses. I hink we're making it a little more difficult than it needs to be.

On playing strong down the stretch and winning an ACC title -

I think it's a little more important than some of these guys realize. Coach talked about it yesterday. Coach says in a better way, it's just looking at the big picture. Last year we were in a similar season and how crucial the last games were going to be. The younger guys might not be able to see that right now.

Win the ACC and you get a ring and a banner. There are things that are not just clicking in their heads yet. Every possession counts. Recommended Stories
