Davis took control of the UNC program on Nov. 26, the day after the Tar Heels had beaten Duke in the season finale. He was introduced to the media the next day. He wore a dark suit then, and the day he appeared in the Smith Center, but in between he was in his work clothes. He started building his program almost immediately, keenly aware that his first spring practice was three months away.
