"Quentin has a stress fracture in his foot," Williams said on his weekly radio show. "We put it in cast today for 10 days. He’s going to be out 3-4 weeks."
Thomas sat out last Friday's win over Tennessee because of discomfort in his left foot. This is the same foot he injured last season that caused him to miss three early games.
Thomas has appeared in four games this season, averaging 5.0 minutes per contest. He has recorded 2 assists, 2 points and 3 rebounds.
Williams said sophomore Marcus Ginyard would help assume Thomas' role. "I told [Marcus] yesterday that he'll have to put in some time as the backup to the backup point guard."
