JOE DAILEY

"There was a lot of passion out there today. However, once again we beat ourselves and Notre Dame didn't beat us. We were confident in attacking them today, but we didn't make enought plays on both sides of the ball.

"Notre Dame did generate a pretty good pass rush, but I was able to step up and make some good throws to my receivers. I knew that we had to make some big plays to keep this game close, and I felt like we were close to them most of the game."

HAKEEM NICKS

(1:35)

"It feels great (to have a good game). I wanted to play real hard, because this is a great football program and I wanted to step it up and I feel like I did that today. I expect to play hard every game, and today I was able to make some great plays. Big players step up in big games. I felt like they weren't respecdting me because I'm a freshman, so I wanted to make big impact.

"I felt like we had a good offensive performance today, bu we did have a fedw mental letdowns that hurt us."

DURELL MAPP

On the personal foul call on the late hit -

"Honestly, to me it looked good. When I left my feet, I didn't think he was out of bounds. The referees are going to look out for him, because he's held to such a high standard being a Heisman candidate. That is that. I thought it was a clean hit. They wanted to call my late hi but nothing else. To me it was a terrible call.

"Brady Quinn is a good quarterback, but they realy aren't different from what we see from week to week. Actually, they are a little slower than most teams in the ACC. However, they run a very precise offense. Tbey really do have good scheme with the way they mix up the play calls."
