Little to Announce Today

The state's top prospect is ready to make his decision. Greg Little will announce his college choice at his high school this afternoon.

The Durham (N.C.) Hillside standout was originally scheduled to announce on ESPNU tonight, but instead will hold a press conference at Hillside at 3 p.m.

Ranked the top senior in the state of North Carolina and a National Top 100 prospect, according to Scout.com, Little is down to a final four of Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Ohio State, and North Carolina.

The expectation among experts is that he'll choose either Notre Dame or North Carolina.

Little visited the Irish in September, and has expressed an affinity for the program throughout his recruitment. The Tar Heels are his hometown favorite, and he's visited nearby Chapel Hill at least a dozen times for games, school events or just to check in with the coaching staff. Little has highlighted UNC as a place he could make a big impact, and his teammate at Hillside, Jonathan Smith, is committed to North Carolina.

A 6-foot-4 210-pound athlete being recruited to play wide receiver, Little has been putting up big numbers his senior season for 5-2 Hillside. At running back he's recorded 72 rushes for 596 yards and 7 touchdowns, while at wideout he's got 19 receptions for 396 yards and four touchdowns.

Stay tuned to InsideCarolina.com tonight for complete coverage of Little's announcement -- interviews and photos will be posted on the front page, while there will also be live updates on the premium board.
