Chavis Preparing For New Role

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. --- For precautionary reasons, North Carolina verbal commitment Miguel Chavis skipped Thursday's Third Annual Cumberland County Football Jamboree in which his Fayetteville (N.C.) Sanford High School scrimmaged Saint Paul's (N.C.) High School.

"I tweaked my hamstring," said Chavis. "I feel good, I'm just not playing as a precaution so that I'm 100-percent ready for next week against Triton." During his high school career, Chavis has lined up at defensive tackle, defensive end, linebacker, tight end, and along the offensive line.
