"Jarrell and his family have some issues to work through," said head coach
John Bunting. "Right now, it is better if Jarrell goes home to Highland
Springs and then attends Fork Union Military Academy in August. We look
forward to Jarrell rejoining the program in January."
"It's best for our family that Jarrell be with us for a while," said John
Miller, Jarrell's father. "We appreciate Coach Bunting's patience and look
forward to Jarrell coming back to Carolina in January."
Miller, UNC's top-ranked incoming freshman, was ranked the No. 9 linebacker in the senior class by Scout.com. He posted 99 tackles, 17 tackles for losses and 7.5 sacks as a senior, and recorded 60 tackles, including eight for losses, as a junior.
