Noel Wins Dunk Contest

For David Noel, there were dunks, flips, cartwheels and even pom-pom shaking -- and the result was the title at the 18th Annual Dell College Slam Dunk Contest on Thursday before 7,000 at the Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Noel defeated Cincinnati's James White in the final round, as White was unable to make his dunk attempts.

Also competing were Vincent Grier of Minnesota, Rodney Carney of Memphis, Maurice Ager of Michigan State, Cameron Bennerman of NC State, Elgrace Wilborn of Western Kentucky and Lawrence Wright of Bradley.
