If you are a Tar Heel football fan, mark October 9th on your calendars! That's the evening that Volunteers for Youth, an Orange County nonprofit agency, is hosting a dinner at Spanky's Restaurant (101 East Franklin St.) that is a must event for UNC fans.

The dinner kicks off the John and Dawn Bunting Golf Tournament, which will take place the next day, October 10, at Finley Golf Course. Jones Angell will emcee the dinner, with Jesse Holley and Ronnie McGill as featured speakers.

A silent auction during the dinner includes fabulous prizes such as a Julius Peppers' autographed game jersey, an opportunity to sit in the broadcast booth with Woody during a game, and a football signed by John Bunting.

The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. on October 9th at Spanky's on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. Tickets for the dinner are $25 with all proceeds going to Volunteers for Youth, an organization serving at-risk Orange County youth since 1982.

To purchase tickets for the dinner, register for the golf tournament, or find out more, call Scott Dreyer at 919-967-4511 or email him at sad@volunteersforyouth.org.
