Heels to play ODU

According to today's Virginian-Pilot, the Tar Heels will travel to Norfolk on Nov. 24 to face Old Dominion.

It will be the first game played at the Monarchs' new $71 million Constant Convocation Center. Carolina will host a return game the following season.

North Carolina is scheduled to participate in two non-conference tournaments in their 2002-2003 schedule. The Preseason NIT, with a full field yet to be released, and the MSG Holiday Classic from Dec. 26-27, with an opening game against Iona and a second day matchup with either St. John's or Manhattan. The Heels are also expected to host both Connecticut and Kentucky.
