Big run in first quarter by Barrington Edwards:
“It was good to see him rip off that big run. He’s got a lot of skill running the football. We just have to find ways to get him the football.”
On Matt Baker’s play:
“We all know that Baker can do a lot of good things, but it is hard for him to do anything on his back. The defensive ends for N.C. State are hard to handle, but we did a good job picking them and the rest of the aggressive N.C. State defense.”
On six sacks by UNC:
“That was really an incredible effort by the guys up front. Our defensive front is the best they’ve been since 2001, if we get them to play that way game in game out they will be great.”
More on UNC’s passing game:
“Baker can make things happen for us when we get him to hook up with the wide receivers. The receivers did a good job catching the ball and making big plays for us today to keep us moving the football.”
