"I love Rashad McCants as an offensive player," said ESPN analyst Jay Bilas. "I thought over the last two years he was the most gifted offensive player in the country. ... He's got the complete package on the offensive end."
McCants averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists this past season, while converting three-pointers at a 42.3 percent clip.
"We're really excited about the opportunity to have Rashad join us," said Timberwolves head coach Dwane Casey. "He is an active, athletic, breakdown player that we have been coveting. Rashad can break down the defense, create one-on-one, and take the shot when the clock is winding down."
No matter where he goes, the media continues to pose the question about his attitude, and he's out to prove in the NBA that he's just misunderstood.
"My passion for winning is very misunderstood," said McCants. "It took us three years to win a national championship, but sometimes it takes guys 10 years. I just need to get out there and prove to people that I'm a good guy and play basketball."
