Report: Felton To Turn Pro

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina junior point guard will skip his final college season and enter the NBA Draft as expected, according to Raleigh TV station WRAL.

Felton led the ACC with 6.9 assists per game and a three-point field goal percentage of .440. He was fourth on the team in scoring with 12.9 points per game and was fourth in the ACC with 2.0 steals per game. He also received the Bob Cousy Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame as the top point guard in the country.

Felton met with head coach Roy Williams Tuesday morning, in which they came to a decision. But Felton refused to say what that decision was, when asked on Tuesday evening, saying he may or may not announce it officially next week.

"I talked with Coach, but we're still keeping it confidential," Felton said. "I made up my mind, but I'm not going to tell now either way."

ESPN Insider calls Felton a "guaranteed lottery pick" and ranks him as the No. 3 point guard in the draft. Recommended Stories
