McCants To Hold Wednesday Press Conference

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina junior Rashad McCants and head coach Roy Williams will meet with the media tomorrow (Wednesday, April 13) at 2 p.m. to discuss McCants' decision whether or not he will enter the NBA Draft and skip his final season at UNC.

Based on previous comments by McCants, his teammate and Coach Williams, McCants is expected to enter the NBA Draft.

In the postgame locker room after the Heels won the title, McCants said, "Yeah, it probably is [my last game]." Teammate Sean May added, "I've known for a while that Rashad would leave."

The morning after the national championship game, Williams said, "I know Rashad has already made the decision -- he will be going into the NBA."

McCants averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists this past season. He shot 42.3 percent on three-point attempts.
