McCants Did Not Travel To Maryland

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina swingman Rashad McCants did not accompany the men’s basketball team to College Park, Md., and will not play for the second consecutive game when the No. 2 Tar Heels face Maryland Sunday afternoon at the Comcast Center.

McCants is sidelined with an intestinal disorder and has not played or practiced since February 19.

Prior to missing the NC State game on Feb. 22, the junior from Asheville, N.C., had played in 90 consecutive contests. McCants is Carolina's leading scorer this year at 15.8 points per game and is UNC’s leading active career scorer with 1,589 points.
