UNC-FSU: Locker Room Report

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Inside Carolina spoke with Jackie Manuel and Raymond Felton after UNC's win Sunday at Florida State ...

On playing a game that wasn't a blowout -

It's very important because once you get into the tournament, everything is life or death. We have to get used to playing some difficult games before then.

On the seven-minute scoreless stretch -

The last three minutes before the half, we had a little bit of a letdown. But then we came out in the second half and picked it up and forced them into a lot of turnovers.

On guarding Von Wafer -

He's a great spot-up shooter, so I just tried to make it as difficult as possible for him. I had a lot of help, too.

On his second-half fadeaway three-pointer as the shot clock expired -

He got a hand up but I got a great look. I got separation on the shot and that's all I was looking for and that's all that I needed. It think it was a blow to them especially after the way they came back.

On Roy Williams in the locker room at the half -

He was fired up. Any coach would be.

On Coach Williams not calling a timeout when FSU closed the lead to one -

We know what kind of team we are and we are a confident team that didn't need a timeout.

On playing Duke next -

We know that it's going to be a big game. This is one of the biggest rivalries in the country and one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports. We'll be ready.
