Nicholson To FSU

Derek Nicholson is a Seminole. The Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mt. Tabor linebacker announced his decision Monday afternoon on ESPN News, choosing Florida State over North Carolina and Texas.

"Next year I will be attending Florida State University," he said, putting on an FSU hat. "I was wavering back and forth from all the three schools, especially UNC and Florida State."

Nicholson, a 6-0, 228-pound US Army All-American, is a four star recruit and ranked the No. 8 linebacker in the nation. His father, Darrell, played linebacker for North Carolina and then in the NFL with the New York Giants. His brother, A.J., is a standout linebacker for the Florida State Seminoles.
