SEAN MAY

LISTEN (3:19)

"When I was at home thinking about the game, I was remembering that they knocked Jawad out [last year]. These guys like to run up under people and are a real physical team ...

"Jawad's been playing unbelievable. I think he's leading the ACC in field goal percentage. He's shooting well from three, he's not taking bad shots and he's not looking for his shot - he's just playing - and Ray and Rashad have done a good job finding him. He's the guy who slips under the radar ... and Jawad is playing better than any of us ...

"In the locker room, Coach said it best - they were not going to let me beat them. And every time I caught it they had somebody running at me. They weren't going to let me get too many touches and I'm fine with that. I tried to find the cutters and the open man -- they're going to be games like that."

MELVIN SCOTT

LISTEN (1:52)

"The ankle's feeling better - it's a little tender, but I'm trying to get to 100 percent ...

"[On the double technical call], I don't know, we were in each others' face and I guess they just wanted to clean the game up. I apologized to my coach and my teammates ...

"Today we took a big step forward in getting ready for the ACC ...

"We want to set a tone early defensively each and every game -- not only early but we want to continue to do that throughout the entire game. I think early on our defense really played a big part in us getting that lead."

RAYMOND FELTON

LISTEN (2:42)

[On hitting his last nine three-point attempts] - "This is from all the hard work that I've done over the summer working on my shot and my technique -- just repetition ...

"If I'm open, I'll take the shot. I'm shooting like 49 percent from the three-point line. [Coach] said that if I'm open, take the shot. 'You've got a great percentage and you're one of the best shooters on the team.' He's got confidence in me and I've got more confidence in myself. I've got my confidence back and I'm feeling good ...

"I'm looking to pass first. If the shot's there, I'll take it, but I didn't take a shot at all in the second half ... that's just the type of player I am ...

"We played great in the first half, but got into a little junk talking and got out of our game plan in the second half. I'm kind of upset at the way we conducted ourself -- that's not us, that's not the way Carolina basketball is. We let our basketball do the talking."

RASHAD MCCANTS

LISTEN (2:42)

"My team won by 20 - that's all that matters. I don't care about my stats ...

"I think we played great defense. We jumped on them early the way we wanted to and let our defense dominate the game."
