Hatchell suspends Teasley for Wake Forest game

University of North Carolina women*s basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell has suspended senior guard Nikki Teasley for one game for unsportsmanlike conduct following Thursday night's matchup with Georgia Tech.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --University of North Carolina women*s basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell has suspended senior guard Nikki Teasley for one game for unsportsmanlike conduct following Thursday night's matchup with Georgia Tech. Teasley will miss Carolina's next game, on Monday at Wake Forest, and will rejoin the team for its Jan. 24 meeting with Duke.

"Our players are required to conduct themselves in a first-class manner," Hatchell said. *"Anything less will not be tolerated."

The 17th-ranked Tar Heels, 14-4 overall and 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, tip off against Wake Forest Monday at 7 p.m. at the Joel Coliseum Annex in Winston-Salem, N.C.
