His stock has risen quickly, and coach Norv Turner named Curry the team's No. 3 option behind Jerry Rice and Jerry Porter on Wednesday, three days before the Raiders' first exhibition game against the San Francisco 49ers.

"It has been a dream of mine," Williams said of taking a role in the Olympics. "It's a tough scenario. The only way we're going to be perceived to be successful is if we win the gold. It's huge pressure if you're only concerned (with winning)."

"The players are stoked about playing North Carolina, and it's driving them right now in the off-season," according to one member of the staff. "They couldn't ask for a better opening game against a great opponent, and the TV exposure has them excited."
