Shooting around in gym class early Tuesday morning, Louis Williams had a feeling. Sinking 3-pointers from the bleachers, he told teammate Mike Mercer he was going to have a good shooting night.
Williams' hot hand never cooled off. The South Gwinnett junior tied a school record with nine 3-pointers, scoring 43 points in the Comets' 72-52 win over North Gwinnett.
After the game, even North fans congratulated the humble, respectful Williams and wished him well. University of North Carolina coach Roy Williams witnessed the shooting and dunking exhibition by the guard coveted by every major college program.
