Allen Wallce and SuperPrep.com, which were the original source of recruiting coverage and an industry standard on the Internet, come to TheInsiders.com. Subscribers to
Inside Carolina
will start getting SuperPrep content later this week.
SEATTLE - Allen Wallace has joined Jamie Newberg to co-direct college football recruiting at TheInsiders.com, thus creating a new Dream Team for the industry. TheInsiders.com has acquired the Superprep.com website and online brand, as well as the most experienced and well-known recruiting expert in the nation, according to an agreement between the two companies.
Jim Heckman, TheInsiders.com CEO, is thrilled with this new relationship, "The best in the West joins best in the East for unmatched college football recruiting connections, scouting and content ," Heckman said. "Jamie Newberg has been the No. 1 producer for our network since 1998 and I believe the new alliance with SuperPrep will add additional market and branding power as well as additional expertise to the huge lead we have in the industry already. The original and most well-known brand in college football recruiting has always been SuperPrep, and founder Allen Wallace is a pioneer in this business. I couldn’t be more pleased with this new business relationship."
All TheInsiders.com subscribers will receive free access to SuperPrep content, and will be able to participate in chats and message board discussions with Wallace. This is a more than $100 value that has been added to the network’s already-loaded Total Access Pass. To learn more, or subscribe:

This is a big move for Wallace, who has published SuperPrep since 1985 and had been previously content to operate outside the network model. "Jim Heckman and I have been friends now for more than a decade and have always wanted to work together but during all the transitions of this business, we just couldn’t come up with the right fit," Wallace said. "But I think it’s now obvious that TheInsiders is the dominant force in the industry and will be around for a long time. It’s impressive what their executives have pulled off in such a short period. Outside auditing firms have them ahead of their nearest competition by more than a half a million users and they are now the largest college sports syndication company in the nation, feeding content to more than 26 million sports fans via Yahoo!, SportsIllustrated.com, Sportsline and FoxSports. That kind of reach, the kind of numbers they are posting and the brilliant technical model was just too much to resist taking the plunge!"
The SuperPrep deal replaces the network’s relationship with Student Sports, whose relationship with TheInsiders.com was mutually terminated "after long and careful consideration" on the part of both parties, according to Heckman.
