Syracuse's media guide makes its point early -- the football team is a regular in bowl games and therefore plays a season-ender in climate far more enjoyable than a central New York winter.

Syracuse blitzed UNC most of the game last year, a 30-22 victory by the Tar Heels. After QB Darian Durant burned the Orangemen for 284 yards and two TD passes (both in the fourth quarter), it will be interesting to watch the Syracuse coverages. Both coaches say teams improve greatly in between their first and second games. Syracuse is playing its opener.
