Grant excited about season

Kalel Grant had a great sophomore season. Now, the 2016 Woodbridge (Va.) wide receiver is looking forward to an even bigger junior campaign.

”Everything has been going really well,” said Kalel Grant. “Practice has been going great. I feel really well about where we are as a team. We have a scrimmage Friday, so we’ll be able to see exactly how we’re doing.”

In regards to recruiting, he has heard from four schools.

”I’ve gotten mail from Nebraska, Purdue, North Carolina and Cincinnati,” said the 6-foot, 175-pound Grant. “I’d say Cincinnati is showing the most interest.”

Grant has a few trips in mind for the fall.

”I’m actually going to try to go UNC and Maryland to see games,” he said.

After a strong sophomore season last fall, he has even higher expectations this year.

”First, I want to stay healthy because I got hurt last year,” Grant said. “As a team, we want to win a state championship. It’s going to take 11 people on each side of the ball working hard and playing as a team."
