First offer in for Dixon

Bryce Dixon performed very well last season. The 2016 Cary (N.C.) Green Hope wide receiver recently picked up his first offer from Boston College.

“I’m excited about getting the offer,” said Bryce Dixon. “They called my dad and let him know last week.

"It’s my first and just knowing someone believed in me enough to give me an offer really felt great. But I still have more work to do. Hopefully, more will come.”

Dixon said he is highly interested in the Eagles and will definitely visit at some point.

Along with Boston College, the 6-foot-4 ½, 210-pound Dixon is attracting interest from Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Duke, North Carolina, NC State East Carolina, South Carolina, Auburn and Virginia Tech.

It was a busy summer for Dixon.

”I camped at Duke, North Carolina, ECU, NC State, Ohio State and South Carolina,” he said. “I enjoyed all of them, but I’d say South Carolina was the one that stood out the most. I just liked the way they ran the camp. It was really organized and I thought everyone was able to get a lot of exposure.”

While in Columbia he had a chance to talk with a few of the coaches.

”I spoke with coach (Steve) Spurrier and (wide receivers) coach (Steve) Spurrier Jr. and they told me they were going to keep heavily recruiting me. They said if I keep doing what I’m doing, I have a good chance to get an offer. They also said they wanted to keep sending them film, so they can keep evaluating me.”

In regards to upcoming visits this fall, Dixon mentioned Boston College, Auburn and Ohio State as possible trips. Recommended Stories
