Inside Look: Jordan Johnson

Jordan Johnson is a junior offensive lineman to know in the state of Florida. He has an impressive offer list now, but will look better in the months to come...

  • Prospect: Jordan Johnson
  • Hometown: Jacksonville, Fla.
  • High School: Ed White
  • Class: 2016
  • Position: Offensive guard
  • Size: 6-3/261
  • Projected ranking:
  • Recruiting notes: His brother Kaleb Johnson has had a successful career at Rutgers and he will likely be drafted in 2015. Jordan has already created a bigger buzz in recruiting than his brother did, and he is only a junior. Schools like Georgia Tech, Miami, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Ohio State, and South Carolina have offered. He has no favorites.

Ed White head coach Paul Pierson says: "Jordan has a chance to be a special player. He has a good chance at being better than his brother and that is pretty good. Jordan is an athletic offensive lineman who can move around and he is only going to get better. He is strong, he has the size, and his feet are good too."

Scout's early take: Expect Johnson to be heavily recruited in 2016. He has very good feet, a great frame for an interior lineman, and nice punch. He can get to the second level, he has length that could get him looks as a tackle, and he is on the athletic side. He looks like a defensive lineman playing offensive line.
