”I have two offers – UNC-Charlotte and NC State,” said B.J. Emmons. “I’ve also had a lot of contact with Clemson. South Carolina, Duke, North Carolina, Georgia, Stanford, Penn State, Florida State and Wake Forest are also recruiting me. But I’d say Clemson is recruiting me the hardest.”
NC State was his most recent offer.
”It was kind of shocking whenever they first offered because I wasn’t expecting it,” said the 5-foot-11, 210-pound Emmons. “It’s a big offer, so I was pretty excited.
”I actually visited during the spring. It was a pretty nice campus and I liked it. My favorite part of the visit was seeing the campus and just seeing the atmosphere.”
Emmons has camped at Clemson, Duke and North Carolina, with Clemson being the latest.
”It’s always fun to go Clemson,” he said. “They were the first school to recruit me and I just enjoy being down there. The ride down there was even exciting because I knew I was going to a fun place.
“While I was there, I talked to multiple coaches, but I talked to (running backs) coach (Tony) Elliot the most. It was my favorite camp this summer. I think they could offer at some point. Right now, I’d say they’re my leader.”
In regards to the rest of the summer, Emmons will take visits to South Carolina and Wake Forest. Then this fall, he plans to attend games at Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina and NC State.
