DeVante Parker

University of Louisville wide receiver DeVante Parker was the lone member of the Cardinals' program on the first-team All-ACC team announced on Wednesday by the league office.

University of Louisville senior DeVante Parker was named to the first-team preseason All-ACC football team announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Wednesday. The team was selected by media who attended last weekend's ACC Football Kickoff in Greensboro, N.C.

Entering their first season in the ACC, Parker was the Cardinals' lone selection on the team.

Parker, one of the most talented wide receivers in the nation, is coming off his best season a year ago, catching 55 passes for 885 yards and tied a school record with 12 receiving touchdowns.

A first team All-American Athletic Conference selection, Parker ended the year by catching nine passes in back-to-back wins over Cincinnati and Miami. He recorded 104 yards and two scores in an overtime win over the Bearcats and closed the season with a season-high 142 yards and a touchdown against the Hurricanes.

Parker enters the final year of his career with 113 receptions for 1,920 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is third all-time in school history in touchdowns and 10th in yards.

The Cardinals open practice under head coach Bobby Petrino on Aug. 5.
